Professional Eye Exams
Dr. Petreman was born in Nanaimo and raised in Nanaimo and Kamloops. Dr. Petreman completed his Doctorate in Optometry from Pacific University - Oregon in 2007. He has provided comprehensive eyecare and served the people of Nanaimo and Vancouver Island since January 2008. Dr. Petreman enjoys being outdoors, spending time with his wife Janelle on the farm with their horses.
Dr. Caiger-Watson completed her doctorate degree from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2012. She has provided comprehensive eye care in her hometown of Ottawa, and in Newfoundland, before relocating to Nanaimo with her husband in 2017. Recently she has broadened her practice with additional training in neuro-optometry and vision therapy.
Outside of the clinic Dr. Alison is an avid runner, kayaker and cross country skier. She enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with her husband and sons.
Dr. Odermatt completed her doctorate degree at Pacific University in Oregon, graduating as valedictorian in 2020. While working in a travel position between Vancouver Island and her hometown of Kelowna, she fell in love with the coastal way of life and is excited to now be practicing full time in Nanaimo.
Dr. Odermatt practices full-scope optometry and takes pride in providing thorough and thoughtful care to all patients. Outside of the clinic she enjoys playing soccer, hiking, reading, and spending time with her husband and their dog.
Outstanding Customer Service
Jodi brings 20 years of optical experience after becoming a licensed Optician in 2001. Jodi enjoys picking out the right pair of eyewear and is skilled in lens selection for all vision needs. Her attention to detail makes her great at trouble shooting and she always sees our patients leave satisfied. Jodi loves spending time with her husband and two boys on Vancouver Island whether it be camping, skiing or just relaxing.
Lauren is one of our essential team members. She enjoys assisting patients with questions and working behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly, and that patients are the best experience possible. Lauren likes to spend her weekends travelling to different parts of the island in search of new adventures.
Brenda joined our practice in the spring of 2017. Brenda brought with her over 35 years of experience in the optical industry. She is an asset in our lab and can whip up a pair of glasses in no time! Her attention to detail, her patience, and her positivity provides top notch customer service making her one of our key staff. In her off time she enjoys gardening, hiking, reading, and painting.
Chelsea has been a part of our team since 2016. From day one her compassionate personality has shined through. Whether she's scheduling appointments, greeting people at the reception desk or pretesting patients she wants each patient to feel relaxed and welcome. Chelsea enjoys spending her down time crafting, being creative and spending time with family and friends.
Julie is a certified Optometric assistant and has over 20 years of experience in patient care. She is excited about what she does and cares personally about assisting our Optometrists and getting the best results for our patients. When not in the office, Julie enjoys her time off with her family, relaxing at the lake, and enjoys travelling to hot and sunny destinations.
Delanie is a licensed optician and contact lens fitter. With over 18 years of experience, she brings a passion for the industry. Delanie enjoys helping people and has always focused on providing the best customer service. She spends parts of her day assisting patients with contact lenses. She likes keeping patients up to date on the latest contact lens technology and choices. When she’s not at work, Delanie spends her time with her children, camping and enjoying live music.
Meet Hanna, our friendly face at the front desk! Hanna loves trying to accommodate your busy schedule by finding appointments that suit your needs. Hanna has worked in the customer service industry for the past 17 years and delivers a 5 star customer experience over the phone and in store. If you haven’t met Hanna yet, you will love her as much as we do! In her spare time, Hanna spends time with her husband and tending to her unreasonable amount of houseplants.

With over 8 years of experience in the field, Christina brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. She is known for her warm demeanor and the personal attention she gives to every patient, making sure their experience is both comfortable and thorough. Her commitment to excellence and patient care is evident in everything she does, providing an exceptional experience for all who visit our office. Christina enjoys baking, visiting the Cedar market and walking her dogs, when she is not at work.
